Emergency 2016

The technical director of Soceca Construction, Giovanni Rimoldi, was asked to participate as a volunteer in the detection of damage, first intervention and agility for ordinary buildings, in the seismic emergency of the earthquake of the Central Italy. The post-seismic emergency assessment is a temporary and expeditious assessment – i.e. formulated on the basis of an expert judgment and conducted in a limited time, based on simple visual analysis and the collection of information easily “It’s not just a question of whether, in the event of an ongoing seismic crisis, buildings affected by the earthquake can be used while keeping human life reasonably protected. The location where our technical director worked for a week (from 04 to 11 October) is located in the municipality of Comunanza in Ascoli Piceno Province. For Giovanni it was first and foremost a civic duty as well as a humanly important experience and a professionally interesting and formative opportunity.
